A visit to Rio is incomplete without a visit to Jardim Botânico. There are many famous parks in Rio, but this is the best and most elegant one. It was created by Dom Jo VI and is certainly a favorite relaxation spot. The Botanical Garden of Rio De Janeiro houses the rarest species of plants of the Brazilian flora and other countries.

It has all the rare species of flora from Brazil and other countries. Among the 8200 species of plant on display there are plenty of imperial palms, extinct trees such as brazil wood as well as other rarities from Japanese gardens. A spectacular range of orchids includes three million examples of 600 species, displaying their rare beauty. The Botanical Garden indulges in a noble mission of searching the biology and the technology of seeds of native, forest, fruitful, ornamental and medicinal plants.

What appeals to the heart most is the vibrancy of colors that nature has bestowed upon them. View the spectacular plant species spread over 338 acres. Every season, nature provides a show that shouldn't be missed. There is also a museum, a gift shop and a public library.
Admission: BRR4. Cash only.
