Parque Garota de Ipanema

Parque Garota de Ipanema is located in between Copacabana and Ipanema beach, close to the Arpoador rock. This is a world- class park which features a skating rink, a fitness area and a playground. It is a good place to escape to on weekends.

This is an attractive place which offers weekend concerts. There is also a good view of the beach from Ipanema if you do not want to get all sandy and wet.

It has something for everyone. The place is a premier location for many of the games along with tracks of skate which is the main highlight of the park. The park is a popular venue for many of the spectacular events held here and attracts throngs of crowds.

The Secretariat of Environment revitalized the accesses of the park. In 1994, the Park of Ipanema started to integrate the areas of Copacabana and the Harpooner. Only those types of activities are allowed that do not affect the local ecosystem.
