Iate Club

Established in Rio De Janeiro in 30 of March, 1964 by the architects Ricardo and Renato Menescal and a group of friends, the Blue Coast Yacht Club is installed on the edge of the canal of Itajurú.

The Rio Yacht Club is a luxurious club. There is a first class restaurant providing delectable cuisine, a beautiful swimming pool and a very elegant bar.

The focus here is on water sports, with fishing, diving, sailing events and courses. There are storage facilities for sails along with a large marina. It is very pretty, and has breath taking views of the Pão de Açúcar (Sugar Loaf) and Guanabara Bay. You can enter the esteemed club only if you are accompanied by a member of the club.

Members use the Club year- round. In addition to the extensive summertime activities available, many winter weekends find members enjoying the Club around a cozy fire exchanging tales and swapping jokes.
