Gávea Golf Country Club

The Gávea Golf & Country Club is a luxurious golf club. The club has an 18- hole course which offers a real challenge for the golf enthusiasts and experts.

The club is in Rio de Janeiro's spectacular location beneath the massive Gávea rock and next to São Conrado beach. Founded in 1921 and designed by the Scot Arthur Morgan Davidson, the club is the most beautiful in Brazil and the course is ranked in the top 50 of the world.

The club is located between the Pedra da Gávea and the Parque Nacional. It is almost 900 meters above sea level. It faces São Conrado beach. The international golf course 18 holes is a rather difficult course. The first 9 holes twist through the forest Tijuca which is dense as a jungle. The last 9 holes, which follow the beautiful beach of Sao Conrado, ask for a long precise shooting.

This is a four- star semi- private resort course. Gávea plays host to the International PGA Tourís Brazilian Open. The club being private, it is necessary to be the guest of a member or the customer of a hotel.
