Copacabana Beach

One of Rio's prime attractions, Copacabana beach lures tourists by the hordes. Azure skies pristine sands and turquoise blue sea seems to take you closer to heaven.

Steeped in Copacabana spirit, it is located in a picturesque setting surrounded by sharp rising hills and lush jungle which reflects the natural glory of nature.

The many restaurants on the beach serve delicious cuisine .Enjoy a batida or caipirinha, or take a stroll on the famous and often imitated Burle Marx designed sidewalks. In summer the beach is extremely crowded and it may be difficult to find a space to lie down and bask on the sand till you get a glorious tan. Visitors should beware of the currents which are deceptively strong.

It is a place where you can drink, relax or indulge in people watching. You can also gaze enchanted at the ostentatious pent houses and apartments which line the beach worth millions of dollars.
