Museu Internacional de Arte Naïf

The MIAN is very conveniently located in a large house from the 19th century surrounded by centenary mango trees in an area of more than 1,000 square meters just 30 meters away from the train station that leads to Corcovado.

The MIAN houses the largest and most complete collection of naive art in the world. It has over 6,000 works by painters from all the states in Brazil and from more than 100 different countries. The works of art displayed date from the 15th century to the present.

This is a place for culture and leisure. This is the largest and most complete collection in the world. Guided tours are in English, French, Spanish and Italian. Information on the exhibitions is in English and French. The City Hall supports the activities at MIAN through the Municipal Secretariat for Culture and the Municipal Guard provides security for the Museum.

The "Artist Store” has works by very renowned artists as well as catalogs, prints, posters, post cards and many objects with naive motifs.
