This unique museum is located in the Catete area. Here you will find art from all over the country: ceramics, musical instruments, toys, religious tools and photographs. It has a gift shop which sells crafts, music and books. This museum is right beside the Museu da República.
It has a permanent exposition about 1500 objects that illustrate the most varied aspects of the artistic and cultural expression of Brazilian popular art. They reflect every day activities, celebrations and festivals.
