Museu de Arte Moderna

Museum of Modern Art of Rio De Janeiro had its foundation in 1958. Since then the museum has grown in popularity. Many footsteps have crossed its threshold and been enchanted with exquisite works of art. The Museum of Modern Art possesses a film library.

The magnificent Parque do Flamengo is a modern and exquisite building in concrete and glass that houses The Modern Arts Museum, the main centre for contemporary art in Rio The building itself oozes splendor.

It has a permanent collection of more than 4,000 pieces from Brazilian artists, including the Gilberto Chateaubriant collection, the most important contemporary Brazilian art collection in the country. There are various temporary exhibits of well- known artists from other countries as well, plus an art cinema and a restaurant.

The museum is wheel chair accessible.
