Casa Franca- Brazil is a cultural centre which was built in 1820. It was designed by French architect Grandjean de Montigny. The beautiful architecture of the building casts a spell over you and you gaze at it with wonder and delight.

Today, it is home to different exhibitions reflecting the cultural relationship between France and Brazil, through exhibits that include painting, photography, prints and sculpture. The stunning exhibits are a feast to the eyes.

The Foundation France- Brazil House is an agency of the Government of the State. It was inaugurated on 29th March 1990. The France- Brazil House offers to the public productions in visual arts, cinema, a store and a bistro. The interiors of the house, full of old world charm are a major source of attraction.

The Foundation France- Brazil House strives to enlighten the public and increase their knowledge about art. It has a permanent exposition of objects that illustrate the most varied aspects of the artistic and cultural expression of the Brazilian popular art.

Entry is free. There is also a restaurant on the premises.
